init 6 works same as the shutdown commands works, as the shutdown command instructs the kernel to execute the ACPI power command after killing all currently active processes and unmounting all file systems, same init 6 instructs the init process to terminate all created processes and daemons in the order specified in the init files (i.e., in reverse order from when they first started), and then to execute the shutdown -r now command to restart the computer.
So, Init 6 is more safer to use in all LINUX variants.
Hi Hugo,

Nice explanation @Piyush Ranjan
