Will it be safe to use manual method when dataguard broker configured.

    in Oracle Data Guard

We have Dataguard broker configured in one of our RAC database. Some time back they have moved out of RAC. May be during that process they set db_broker_start parameter to false. Will it be safe if we use manual method for DR drill rather than using DGMGRL? Please advise.

    Appreciate your quick help.

In this case, the ideal solution would be to re-configure DGMGRL as it would not take much time to do so. Check this article: https://www.support.dbagenesis.com/post/oracle-data-guard-broker-configuration

The manual switchover is find but its good to go with DGMGRL coz its just one command. Brokers takes care of everything!
